Eugene Perepletchikov is a moving image artist and filmmaker living in Naarm/Melbourne. His work utilises the mingled space between narrative and event as a speculative framework for investigating historical processes and knowledge systems. Working with communities, institutions and archives, his films examine sites of contested histories as tapestries of matter and meaning.
Eugene acknowledge the Wurundjeri People as the traditional owners of the unceded land on which he works, and pays respect to their elders past and present. He extends this respect to all First Nation people.
